The first Jaguar C-type was introduced in 1951 to enter Le Mans, where it won its first Le Mans. Three cars competed, driven by Stirling Moss and Jack Fairman (car 1), Leslie Johnson and Clemente Biondetti (car 2) and the winning duo Peter Walker and Peter Whitehead (car 3).

This car with a polyester body was built in the US. The details and the finishing of this car are astonishing. During the built of this car, they chose to use a more powerful engine to compete in some races. Engine is a 4.2L from Jaguar E-type. Engine has bigger carburetors, 45’s and extra oil coolers and adjustable dampers. Car is beautiful condition as the engine works and sounds perfectly.

The C-type was designed with a perforated tube chassis to save weight and was a significant improvement over the XK120. Developments over time, in addition to the first use of disc brakes, included the use of 16" 60-spoke wire wheels on 1953 series cars for better brake cooling. Meanwhile, the model was also improved with innovations such as a Panhard rod for the rear suspension, to the ultimate configuration of the 1953 C-type. At the 1953 Le Mans 24 Hours, the redesigned c-type broke the 24-hour average speed record of 160 km/h with 170.34 km/h.
